Security Engineer, PhysSecOps IR, AWS Security (SOC)

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Security Engineer to join the AWS SOC Physical Security Operations (PhysSecOps) Team, responsible for driving physical security incident response across AWS and maintaining customer trust.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• 2+ years of any combination of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience

Responsibilities

• Manage security issues and engage with partner security teams and internal service teams to ensure timely remediation of issues
• Participate in efforts to promote security throughout the Company and build good working relationships within the team and with others across Amazon
• Demonstrate high capacity and tolerance for context switching and interruptions while remaining productive and effective
• Proactive knowledge-sharing within the team and across the company
