Sr Electrical Engineer, Colocation Regional Engineering (CRE)

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking talented individuals to join their team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers and networking equipment.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline
• 6+ years experience in Data Center or Carrier-class Telecommunications design, engineering, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) of data center critical environment infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments for collocation data centers and telecommunications facilities
• Review vendor critical infrastructure designs and perform risk analysis
• Troubleshoot and create corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures
• Lead design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions
• Interface with internal data center design engineering team and other stakeholders
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
• Initiate and lead engineering site audits within Amazon's owned or colo data centers
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects
