Systems Development Engineer II, Deployment Readiness Tech Transformation

Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Systems Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain a cloud platform for large-scale data manipulation and robotic deployment automation.

Requirements

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience with monitoring frameworks (such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Elastic or similar)
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (CDK or CloudFormation)
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as Java and Python
• 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• BS in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a cloud solution for storing and processing large-scale point cloud datasets (1TB+)
• Take ownership of defining requirements, creating solution designs, implementing code to specifications, and supporting solutions
• Create maintainable, high-quality software that is built and deployed through continuous delivery
• Identify risks and mitigation and make technical trade-offs in designs
• Cope with ambiguity and work autonomously or with a team to deliver successful solutions
• Travel domestically up to 25%
