Sr. Innovation & Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Job Description

Amazon is seeking an innovative Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to work on developing and delivering next-generation fulfillment and transportation systems on a global scale.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field
• Experience in Design/Innovation, Research & Development, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
• Experience managing engineering design projects
• Experience designing solutions for large, high-volume sortation operations
• Experience designing material handling equipment that interfaces with aircraft
• Proficiency in using software such as MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
• Ability to travel globally up to 20%

Responsibilities

• Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions for material flow/transformation and efficiency problems in the Amazon supply chain
• Lead design and innovation efforts for transportation network optimization
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate cost-effective solutions
• Manage multiple projects and tasks while influencing internal and external partners
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects
• Work with business leaders to drive quality and customer-centric designs
