Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative by Amazon to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. The role is for a Satellite Terminal Validation Engineer.

Requirements

• 3+ years of programming with modern languages like C++, Java, Python
• Experience in Linux/Unix environment
• Experience in systems design, software development, operations, and process improvement
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• 3+ years in SW/HW development environment with at least 3 recent years in an architectural/system role
• 3+ years experience in development for complex telecommunication, high-speed digital, antenna, and/or satellite communication systems

Responsibilities

• Define CT systems architectures and specifications
• Design tradeoffs of various CT architectures including RF and performance simulation
• Develop integration & test Software & Firmware for lab verification measurements
• Develop, maintain, and support customer terminal validation hardware and software
• Engage with development partners on Systems’ hardware and software architectures
• Ensure work meets technical, functional, performance, regulatory, and business requirements
• Perform in-field test and validation of various CT architectures
• Travel up to 20% of the time depending on project phases
