Job Description

AWS is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join their global data center engineering team, responsible for design and innovation within their expanding data center footprint.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical experience
• 7+ years of experience in heavy industrial environments
• Experience collaborating with construction and plant personnel

Responsibilities

• Define and analyze piping and pipe supports to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design new data center product solutions
• Support field engineering and data center operation teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Standardize and modularize data center products for economy of scale
• Develop technical design procedures for piping and pipe support analysis
• Provide technical expertise to peers, management, and partner teams
• Lead key initiatives and demonstrate extreme ownership
• Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify mechanical components
• Provide product design support to team members
• Write functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures
