Threat Detection Security Engineer, Amazon Stores Security

Job Description

Amazon Stores Security’s Threat Detection (TD) team is looking for a highly motivated Threat Detection Engineer to research emerging-threats and build high confidence detections to proactively identify threats across log data at exabyte scale.

Requirements

• Experience triaging and developing security alerts and response automation
• Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell
• 1+ years of non-academic experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, etc.

Responsibilities

• Identify critical threats on Amazon's network and deliver high fidelity threat detections
• Enhance detection engineering processes
• Develop platform requirements to enrich alerts and automate remediation actions
• Research and develop mechanisms using Machine-Learning, data correlation, risk-based alerting, or Generative AI
• Provide tactical detection support during security incidents
• Automate challenges using Python or other scripting language
