Software Development Engineer, Facility Operations Systems Engineering

Job Description

The Facility Operations Systems Engineering team is looking for an innovative Software Development Engineer to drive the development and scaling of electrical and mechanical alarming and event management services used across AWS Data Centers worldwide.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Architecting and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient software components embedded in equipment and in the cloud
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
• Improving coding practices, testing methodologies, and development processes
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
• Mentoring and providing guidance to more junior engineers
• Participating in the overall direction and vision of the engineering team and organization
