Senior Systems Development Engineer, Kuiper Network Services

Job Description

Join the Kuiper Network Services team at Amazon to work on Project Kuiper, a Low Earth Orbit satellite broadband network aiming to provide high-speed internet to underserved communities worldwide.

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
• 5+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
• Experience building, integrating, and maintaining systems for managing and monitoring routers and switches

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate services for broadband networks systems worldwide
• Write and debug code, integrate new and existing systems, and create innovative products
• Collaborate with other teams to design and deliver scalable, flexible, low latency, and high throughput network functions
• Develop flexible and cost-effective solutions to support connecting and peering with public and private networks
• Mentor engineers and provide support as part of an on-call rotation
