Senior Electrical Design & Verification Engineer (DVE), OISL

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary avionics design team, focusing on design verification, test development, and system performance validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Experience with EE and test fundamentals
• 5+ years of experience in board level design verification for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics products; OR 5+ years of experience building test fixtures and complex test systems including integrating test software
• 5+ years of experience developing requirements, plans, and procedures for product design verification
• 5+ years of experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience with design or test of switching power supplies, electric motors, IMUs, sensors, and high-speed electrical signal characterization
• 5+ years of experience in design verification of high-speed interfaces, signal integrity and protocol compliance
• Experience with hardware and software tools for test automation (e.g. NI, dSPACE, Python, C/C++, Labview, etc.)
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures

Responsibilities

• Own and manage comprehensive test procedures and execute system and board level test plans
• Collect test data, perform data analysis, and document results
• Conduct test readiness reviews and align with various stakeholders on data review activities
• Work with a team of engineers and influence overall test strategy
• Maintain requirements traceability during testing and solve integration and test problems in real time
