Security Engineer, AWS Security Risk and Compliance

Job Description

The Security Engineer position at Amazon Web Services involves working collaboratively with a highly skilled team to enhance security solutions at a massive scale, contributing to the protection of AWS and its customers while fostering innovation and growth.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience with security risk management, vulnerability management, threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, configuration management, secure software development, cryptography, system administration and/or network security
• 3+ years of experience with security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, application, database, or storage security

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive technical risk assessments
• Secure architecture design
• Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into actionable technical guidance for builders
• Threat modeling
• Projects and research work as needed
• Security training and outreach to internal development teams
• Security and compliance guidance documentation
• Security tool development
• Security metrics delivery and improvements
• Assistance with recruiting, hiring, and administrative work as needed
