New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer, Deployment Readiness

Amazon is seeking a talented NPI Deployment Engineer to contribute to delivering transformational innovation to the business by working on automated solutions for fulfillment centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Physics, or equivalent
• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience working directly with hardware/software Engineering teams
• Experience with hardware development or deployment
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategic Deployment Readiness projects with significant technical depth and breadth
• Act as the subject matter expert for deploying, integrating, optimizing, and implementing new Robotics solutions during pre-GA phases
• Provide iterative feedback on Work Instructions and execution plans
• Manage large third-party installation teams during the execution of Alpha and Beta deployments
• Resolve field issues and ensure root causes are addressed
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Drive alignment of New Product Introduction strategy with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Lead field trials, contribute to deployment guidelines and test plans/procedures
