System Development Engineer III, Device OS DevOps

Job Description

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a skilled engineer to design and build self-service tools to help software development teams publish code at speed, contributing to the development of innovative solutions critical to developer productivity.

Requirements

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of key features
• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
• Drive projects from design through planning to execution, collaborate with teams across Amazon on cross-team initiatives
• Coordinate feature improvements and upgrades, analyze and improve service availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability, security, and performance
• Represent Systems while working with internal teams and external partners, troubleshoot and resolve problems with production systems, develop and maintain tools
