Embedded Firmware Engineer, Ring Solutions Embedded Development

Job Description

Ring is seeking an experienced embedded firmware developer to help develop firmware for IoT devices, including Ring Smart Lighting products and Ring alarm sensors.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Developing C code on ARM Cortex M wireless microprocessors
• Writing application logic code for security lights and camera accessories
• Working with QA to get development tickets across the line for release
• Investigating issues that may arise with deployed firmware
• Following direction from Software Manager, Program Manager, and lead engineers
• Documenting all designs and decisions
• Grooming development tickets with the team
