Operations Engineer - Quality, OTS - Global RAD Operations

Job Description

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer with a strong emphasis on Quality to join the Rapid Asset Deployment organization and improve processes globally.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in operations/manufacturing industry
• 2+ years experience developing and driving strategic initiatives within a cross-functional environment
• 2+ years experience using Quality Management System as well as managing Quality Audit Programs
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct 8D Quality Investigations and use the output to improve processes
• Create and conduct quality process audits
• Develop and maintain PFMEA and control plans throughout the life cycle of a process
• Own disposition of defective equipment by developing metrics and maintain a quarantine cage
• Manage the process/product quality audit program
• Define and own the quality metrics reported daily to the leadership team
• Perform root cause analysis on customer issues
• Manage change management requests and obtain approvals from appropriate stakeholders
• Serve as the primary quality contact on the production floor
• Assist in and facilitate process improvement initiatives
• Assist in the roll-out of new processes and equipment
• Own and develop standard policies and procedures for processes within operations
