Systems Development Engineer, Tech Deploy- Systems Integration

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a Systems Development Engineer to be part of the Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team and contribute to the next generation of fulfillment systems through advanced technology.

Requirements

• 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Unix/Linux experience and ability to script in Bash, Zsh, or similar
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle
• Familiarity with control systems including PLC/IPC based controls design

Responsibilities

• Support installation of complex cross-functional projects
• Work with internal and external engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects
• Contribute to project priorities and establish milestones
• Deep dive technical solutions with advanced technology applications
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts
• Communicate project status and answer project questions in detail
• Capture and synthesize the Voice of Customer for new product introductions
• Identify process improvement initiatives and develop cross-functional knowledge
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate cost-effective solutions
• Travel up to 75% throughout North America
