Amazon is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design of automated packaging and sortation equipment.
Requirements
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or similar
5+ years of experience designing the electrical connections inside industrial electrical AC/DC and DC/DC cabinets with voltages in the 100-600VAC and 5-60VDC ranges
Experience with UL508A/NFPA79/IEC60204-1 and their impacts on Electrical Panel Design
Experience with breakers, relays and fuses
Experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent CAD tool for electrical hardware designs of machinery
Working knowledge of European and American design standards
Responsibilities
Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification
Design industrial control panels, cables, and electrical systems
Review specifications and schematics for compliance with relevant safety standards
Specify, integrate, and deploy electrical components into industrial automation equipment
Contribute to the development of functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures
Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments from prototype through production volume
