Systems Development Engineer, in-Rack Power

Job Description

The AWS Rack Power team is driving rapid innovation in the power systems used by Amazon Web Services, designing and building power equipment used by Amazon.com and AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, Glacier, and Outpost.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting of new and existing systems experience
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Responsibilities

• Develop best practices, refine operational procedures, and innovate proactively
• Identify areas of growth within existing services, tools, and processes to reduce waste and continuously improve
• Lead architecture development for key service components and provide technical leadership across various technologies
• Work hand-in-hand with multiple teams and design disciplines to invent new ways of operating Amazon's Next-Generation Network
