Senior Hardware Development Engineer , Customer Terminals

Job Description

Senior Hardware Engineer position at Project Kuiper to lead cross-functional efforts related to consumer terminal antenna board development.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital design and/or RF designs
• 3+ years of experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis
• 2+ years of experience board bring up and debugging in lab environment
• 2+ years of experience using lab equipment including soldering irons, hand-tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers

Responsibilities

• Be the single-threaded owner for PCBA development from concept through production
• Design high-speed digital and/or RF circuitry in collaboration with various teams
• Design and optimize different blocks of electronics sub-systems
• Schematic capture and lead PCB layout
• Lead PCB vendor engagement for DFM review
• Optimize PCB stack-up for cost
• Design DC/DC power supply and Point of Load
• Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures
• Board bring-up and perform test campaigns of modules and subsystems
• Support design of automated test systems, test fixtures and factory test
• Support the transition of the designs to mass production
