Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, bringing fast, affordable broadband to underserved communities worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with prototyping and implementation
• 4+ years experience developing space-rated Moving Mechanical Assemblies

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze requirements, conceive and develop trade studies on mechanism design options
• Create and iterate detailed CAD models of design options
• Develop test plans with statistical analysis for long term reliability assessments
• Facilitate cost trades on multiple parallel configurations
• Produce complete design packages and run product-specific tests
