Sr. System Development Engineer, AWS Hardware Development

Job Description

Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Edge and Specialized Hardware test development and automation team to work on critical infrastructure enabling Edge, Outposts, Specialized Hardware, and Archival Storage platforms for AWS.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree
• 5+ years of programming experience in languages like C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 6+ years of professional software development, systems design, and operations experience
• Experience with x86, ARM, and FPGA devices, memory technologies, and interface standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to invent and simplify solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead the System Development effort to define and build software and tools for ESH platforms
• Implement software best practices, author requirement documents, and publish design docs
• Develop diagnostic tools for continuous monitoring, testing, and automation
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver the best customer experience in cloud computing
