Embedded Physical Layer SW Engineer, Wireless Systems

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Modem Software Design Engineer to work on the communication software architecture of broadband wireless modem systems.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar
• 4+ years of non-internship professional embedded software development in C/C++ with real-time constraint experience
• Experience in script development using bash, Python
• MS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar (preferred)
• Experience in software development for multiple access wireless communications systems such as 5G, WiFi, or other OFDM systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in assembly, C, and C++ for broadband satellite communication modem systems
• Work closely with ASIC, communication systems, and software teams for system integration and testing
• Support end-to-end testing using lab equipment, contribute to development-test bring-up procedures
• Support operations and maintenance using telemetry to validate link performance
