Systems Development Engineer, Relational Amazon Dedicated Cloud

Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer II to own and advance mission-critical services in the Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC) for government customers operating in air-gapped regions. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and gain top-notch experience in cloud computing.

Requirements

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technology solutions to solve difficult business problems, improving resilience, performance, and operational efficiency of systems
• Work autonomously on components, applications, and technology solutions enhancing products or applications
• Participate in design, scoping, and prioritization discussions, making technical trade-offs and calculating costs of proposed solutions
• Troubleshoot difficult problems, researching root causes and thoroughly resolving defects
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support mission-critical services
