Sr. Satellite Test Engineer, Integrated Vehicle Testing

Job Description

Amazon's Project Kuiper is a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers worldwide. They are seeking a Senior Satellite Test Engineer to architect test infrastructure and ensure successful satellite integration and launch.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on testing experience
• 5+ years in design and validation of hardware systems
• 5+ years in a development environment
• 5+ years developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics systems
• 2+ years of scripting or programming experience (Python, MATLAB, C)

Responsibilities

• Develop, augment, and support testing of components for spacecraft suitability for flight
• Lead the definition and implementation of organization wide test strategies to mitigate product risks
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to design test plans and execute test campaigns
• Own vehicle level test campaigns and deliver thoroughly tested spacecraft ready for launch
• Communicate across teams to identify and address product risks for mission success
• Develop complex test automation sequences using scripting languages
• Develop innovative hardware and processes to optimize testing capabilities
