Sr. Data Engineer, Amazon Traffic Engineering

Job Description

Seeking a talented Data Engineer to join Amazon's Traffic Engineering organization in developing next-generation bot detection and mitigation capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices

Responsibilities

• Drive the backbone of data systems by building robust pipelines using AWS and Amazon's internal tools
• Be the bridge between teams to turn data needs into reality
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes
• Ensure data cleanliness, accuracy, and trustworthiness
• Implement governance and security measures for data protection
• Optimize systems and bring modern solutions to data challenges
• Create user-friendly data products for better decision-making
