Critical Infrastructure Electrical Engineer, Field Engineering

Job Description

The Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, troubleshoot site/equipment failures, and lead projects to fit out data centers to meet customer needs at hyper-scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ cumulative years of experience with industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering in sectors such as data centers, power generation, oil/gas facilities.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades, design solutions, and interface with internal teams to promote standards.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers and work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits, act as resident engineer during new construction projects.
