Network Development Engineer, GCNA - Direct Connect

Job Description

Amazon is looking for Network Development Engineers to support and maintain their next-generation networks and drive innovation in the AWS Direct Connect service.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in network engineering in large-scale data center or WAN environments
• Experience in IP routing protocols, networking systems, and automation scripting
• Technical on-call experience and problem-solving skills
• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, and network security architecture

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain next-generation networks
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes
• Drive standards compliance and operational readiness for new deployments
• Participate in large-scale event management and impact mitigation
• Improve detection mechanisms and troubleshoot interconnectivity issues
• Create and review documentation, troubleshoot low-level application interactions
• Identify opportunities for task automation through scripting and tools
