Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to solve unique and complex problems utilizing the latest technologies to create highly scalable solutions with unlimited career development opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Set the technical strategy for the team
• Lead complex technical initiatives within the team
• Gather business and functional requirements and translate into robust, scalable, operable solutions
• Assist in developing project plans and commitments, and deliver consistently against those commitments
• Drive Operational excellence through metrics driven approach
• Mentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity, deep technical understanding through collaboration, code reviews, and leading by example
