Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Hardware Engineering - Manufacturing

Job Description

Amazon Web Services’ Hardware Engineering team is looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to help build the world’s premier cloud computing platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 2 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, specifically with server platforms or high-tech hardware systems
• Minimum 5 years collaborating with manufacturing suppliers on quality improvement initiatives and supplier quality management
• Minimum 5 years demonstrated success in optimizing production efficiency, including cycle time reduction and labor optimization

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee quality control processes across Contract Manufacturers (CM), Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and vendors
• Deliver hands-on technical support during new product introductions and launches
• Evaluate and optimize product designs for quality assurance and manufacturing efficiency of servers and rack systems
• Investigate and resolve customer escalations through comprehensive root cause analysis
• Support global operations through regular domestic and international travel (25-50% of time)
