Systems Development Engineer, in-Rack Power

Job Description

The AWS Rack Power team is driving rapid innovation in the power systems used by Amazon Web Services, designing and building power equipment for Amazon.com and AWS services to revolutionize the industry.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Responsibilities

• Build and scale systems and software for power solutions of the world's largest and most complex networks
• Develop best practices, refine operational procedures, and constantly innovate proactively
• Identify areas of growth within existing services, tools, and processes to reduce waste and improve continuously
• Work hand-in-hand with multiple teams and design disciplines to invent new ways of operating Amazon's Next-Generation Network
