SysDev Engineer II, Kuiper Devices & Systems

Job Description

Join the Kuiper Devices & Systems (KDS) team as a Linux Client Fleet Manager at Amazon's Project Kuiper to manage Linux client systems for delivering fast, reliable internet globally.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Proficiency in Linux management in Enterprise or Manufacturing Organizations

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of all Linux client systems
• Implement and maintain controls for security and compliance
• Develop automation for imaging, software distribution, monitoring, and policy enforcement
• Launch and maintain printers supporting manufacturing processes
• Define metrics and dashboards for fleet health and performance
• Collaborate with Security, Networking, Manufacturing, and Application teams
• Build and document processes for hardware lifecycle management and user support related to Linux systems
