Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced application security engineer to join the Application Security team, focusing on providing secure experiences for customers and constantly learning and solving complex problems to protect billions of lives globally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• Experience programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language
• Extensive hands-on experience in application security or similar role

Responsibilities

• Application security reviews
• Secure architecture design
• Threat modeling
• Projects and research work as needed
• Security training and outreach to internal development teams
• Security guidance documentation
• Security metrics delivery and improvements
• Assistance with recruiting activities
