Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, Field Engineering

Job Description

The Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers, troubleshoot equipment failures, support operational issues, and develop innovative solutions for data centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and complex procedure reviews
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades and design-solutions
• Interface with internal data center operations team and other relevant teams
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers
• Initiate and lead engineering audits within Amazon's data centers
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects
