Job Description

Amazon Traffic Engineering is seeking a Software Development Engineer to work on an in-house Service Mesh for centralized traffic management and SOA policy implementation, empowering Amazon Retail developers to focus on business logic while ensuring security, authentication, load balancing, and routing are consistent with best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
• Identify and address technical challenges, and drive improvements
• Review code submissions and mentor junior engineers
• Participate and contribute in design and brainstorming sessions with the team
