Job Description

Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Data Center Chief Engineer to work in sophisticated and secure data centers, maintaining critical infrastructure systems and leading technology advancements.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 4+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 4+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Act as primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues
• Oversee operation and management of critical systems
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Create and deploy new standard practices
• Assist in build out of new facilities
• Work outside normal business hours for routine maintenance
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audience
• Coordinate projects with IT managers and business leaders
• Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to
• Establish building performance benchmarks
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other administrative tools
