Systems Development Engineer, AWS Hardware Engineering

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join the Fleet Automation Software Team (FAST) within the Hardware Engineering Services organization. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining services, systems, and operational infrastructure to enable the delivery of hardware and firmware to AWS data centers globally, with a focus on PCIe subsystem integration and optimization.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional product vertical and firmware development teams
• Designing and maintaining operational infrastructure for hardware and firmware delivery
• Optimizing hardware-firmware integration and ensuring reliable operation of data center infrastructure
• Contributing to hardware and firmware deployment orchestration systems
