Senior Software Development Engineer, EC2 Nitro

Job Description

The role in AWS Utility Computing involves supporting the development and management of various services in AWS, including EC2 Nitro, to drive innovation and set industry standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, scoping, implementation, integration, and scaling of next-generation EC2 Nitro instance platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute complex engineering programs
• Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation
• Define best engineering practices on design and coding
• Mentor engineers in scoping, design, and development of scalable systems
