Software Development Engineer, Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging

Job Description

The Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging Experiences software team is seeking technically skilled and curious engineers to join our diverse, full-stack team to design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent packaging deterministic workflows, LLM/ML powered platforms, and large-scale solutions for our world-wide customer base.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying intelligent packaging deterministic workflows, LLM/ML powered platforms, and large-scale solutions
• Collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of product leaders, principals, and ML scientists
• Influencing the overall packaging roadmap to support Climate Pledge and Sustainability goals
• Driving the system architecture, spearheading best practices, and coaching and developing junior engineers
• Building Packaging Technology Workflows and Optimization with Machine Learning (ML) on a global scale, owning systems end to end, and influencing the direction of technology used by all Amazon Fulfillment and Packaging services around the world
