Sr. Software Development Engineer, Aurora Engineering

Job Description

Amazon Aurora Engineering team is looking for experienced software engineers who are excited about building large scale systems spanning tens of thousands of servers, across multiple data-centers worldwide.

Requirements

• 10+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 10+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of significant software components critical to industry leading database services architected for the cloud
• Build rock-solid components and mentor other engineers
• Work on systems spanning tens of thousands of servers across multiple data-centers worldwide
