Hardware Engineer - ML Acceleration, Annapurna Labs

Job Description

The Hardware Design Engineer will play a crucial role in defining, designing, and validating AWS's next-generation ML Chips, Cards, and server integration.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of PCIe interface Gen4 or above at both chip and PCB levels
• Understanding of Transmission line theory, Electromagnetics, and their application in SerDes, Single-ended signal, and parallel bus interfaces
• Experience working with ODMs, IP Silicon vendors, and internal design teams for issue resolution
• Proficiency in lab equipment skills for electrical validation and characterization
• Strong technical communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and execution of PCIe and Serdes topics
• Design and optimize hardware for data centers, specifically focusing on Machine Learning Acceleration
• Provide leadership in applying new technologies to large-scale server deployments
• Constantly look for ways to improve product performance, quality, and cost
• Collaborate with thought leaders in various technology areas
