Senior Software QA Engineer, Device OS

Job Description

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to innovate and drive new Quality initiatives, establish test frameworks, and ensure the quality and reliability of software products.

Requirements

• 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
• 5+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading QA projects and initiatives experience
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
• Experience scripting or coding
• Experience with Linux operating system, embedded systems, consumer devices, or mobile apps

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process
• Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, frameworks, and methodologies
• Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams
• Define release planning and provide input on software readiness
• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios
• Identify and document defects, issues, and areas of improvement
• Perform root cause analysis of complex issues
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Collaborate with automation engineers to implement and maintain automated testing frameworks
• Define key metrics for measuring and reporting on software quality
