Job Description

The Data Center Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within a data center while maintaining peak efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical experience OR 2+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
• 2 years of MS Office Suite experience

Responsibilities

• Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance
• Oversee operation and management of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, etc.
• Data Center capacity planning and reporting
• Work with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects and optimize plant safety, performance, and efficiency
• Deliver quality service and ensure customer demands are met
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
