Job Description

Join a team within the Elastic Block Storage organization at AWS to build a new tier 1 service providing enhanced block storage experience for customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Architect large-scale distributed systems
• Improve availability and performance of systems
• Innovate to increase hardware resource utilization
• Develop distributed systems managing millions of hardware resources
• Ensure health of the overall storage system
• Work on storage and networking stack innovations
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve issues
