Software Development Engineer, Zappos Discovery Tech

Job Description

Zappos Tech is seeking a Software Development Engineer II (SDE2) to join the Discovery Team, contributing significantly to software development for the core customer journey on Zappos.com.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Java-based applications leveraging AWS services
• Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create optimal customer experiences
• Provide guidance and feedback to maintain high coding standards and practices
• Address complex issues within a well-understood technology strategy
• Adhere to and promote best practices within the team
• Continuous learning and contributing to the team's strategy and goals
