Job Description

Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Data Center Chief Engineer to work in sophisticated and secure data centers, managing critical infrastructure systems and implementing new technology.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or degree in a relevant field (electrical, mechanical)
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Act as primary escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of facility equipment failures
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians
• Create and deploy new standard practices for technicians and support teams
• Assist in building out new facilities and projects to increase efficiency
• Communicate technical information to non-technical audience
• Coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety and performance
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to by staff
• Establish building performance benchmarks and prepare reports on facility operations
• Utilize administrative tools like Microsoft Excel and Word for day-to-day tasks
