Threat Detection Security Engineer, SIRT

Job Description

Amazon Stores Security’s Threat Detection team is looking for a highly motivated Threat Detection Engineer to research emerging-threats, build high confidence detections, and defend Amazon's customer data against critical threats.

Requirements

• Experience triaging and developing security alerts and response automation
• Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell
• 1+ years of non-academic experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security

Responsibilities

• Identify critical threats on Amazon's network and deliver high fidelity threat detections
• Enhance detection engineering processes
• Develop platform requirements for alert enrichment and response automation
• Research and develop mechanisms to enhance machine learning, data correlation, risk-based alerting, or Generative AI
• Provide tactical detection support during security incidents
