Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Chief Engineer to ensure the critical physical infrastructure supporting AWS operates at peak efficiency.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or critical environment
• 4+ years of Facilities Management Experience
• Associates or Bachelors in applicable engineering field or mechanical or electrical trades
• Operating engineering licenses such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent
• Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License
• CFC license NFPA 70E

Responsibilities

• Management and leadership of DCEO Engineering Team
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance
• Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on critical systems
• Data Center capacity planning and reporting
• Work with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects and optimize plant safety and efficiency
• Responsible for asset and inventory management
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
