Satellite Test Engineer, Integrated Vehicle Testing

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). They are looking for an experienced Satellite Test Engineer to help architect next generation test infrastructure and lead Integrated Vehicle test campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on testing experience.
• 2+ years of design and validation of hardware systems work experience.
• 2+ years navigating a development environment.
• 2+ years experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive or consumer electronics systems.
• 1+ years of scripting or programming experience (Python, MATLAB, C, Labview).
• Solid understanding of Engineering and Testing fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, augment, and support integration and testing of components, from subsystems to the full spacecraft to determine suitability for flight.
• Work with avionics, payload and software teams to gather requirements, design test plans, determine applicable test cases, and prepare for test execution.
• Own integration campaigns and collaborate with responsible engineers, manufacturing engineers, software developers tooling teams to deliver a thoroughly tested spacecraft ready for launch.
• Communicate fluidly across a variety of teams to identify product risks and how they will be addressed to ensure mission success.
• Develop innovative hardware and processes to optimize and improve testing capabilities and processes.
