Job Description

The Server Hardware Engineer position at Amazon Web Services (AWS) involves designing and building next-generation servers and AWS-specific hardware components to support the development and management of various services in AWS.

Requirements

• BS Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in hardware system, board, and component design
• 7+ years of experience with high-speed interface protocols such as DDR, PCIe, and Ethernet
• 7+ years of experience in collaborating with ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs
• 7+ years of experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures
• 7+ years of experience in board and server root cause analysis and resolution

Responsibilities

• Design and build next-generation servers and AWS-specific hardware components
• Interact with engineers across the company to execute product designs from concept to production
• Deliver functional block diagrams, schematics, specifications, and test plans for servers and components
• Lead cross-organizational teams to improve key factors such as quality, reliability, and performance
• Be hands-on with the entire technology stack from service software to silicon
