Sr. Systems Engineer, Prime Air

Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to work on the Amazon Prime Air team, where you will be defining, designing, verifying, and launching a novel drone delivery system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in full lifecycle Aerospace Systems Engineering.
• Proven ability to drive system design and analysis of safety critical systems.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines collect requirements, describe product features and technical designs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the systems engineering owner of key safety critical cloud based subsystems throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Lead interdisciplinary trade studies across Prime Air software, system, product, and regulatory functions to determine the critical requirements for a scalable cloud based system architecture.
• Generate key systems engineering artifacts CONOPs, design documents, interface control documents and requirements.
• Develop comprehensive requirements documentation that meets aviation certification standards while enabling rapid innovation.
• Drive test plans, write test cases, generate automated test procedures and conduct formal verification.
